exhaust tone mussings......

i think my presilencer has rusted off. lol

it was only hanging by one bolt (to the header) for the last 3 months and i think the other bolt snapped yesterday cus the car's tone drasticaly changed over night.

im not sure if its 1/2 blowing through the rest of the exhaust or or all jsut dumping right out the headers, but wow i ove how my car sounds.

at idle, its like a harley, deep and brappy. popping and bubling. form 1.5k-about 3.5 at part throttle it sounds like a tacky ricer (read:lawnmower/shitty honda sounding), but at 4k+ and WOT it starts to sound like nothing else. the tone is at once purer and far more caustic than any piston engine iv heard. there is no mechanical rachet to muffle the terbine like woosh of intake air and percusinve exhaust events. even at 4k it sounds meaner and more pissed off than any boinger ive heard on the street (or should be, since this is rediculously obnoxious) and it's only 1/2 way to redline! simply the most intoxicatingy unique tone. and unlike a piston engine which changes character sevaral times throughout the rev range and starts to wheeze when it runs out os power, the ol rotary keeps the same basic sound and just gets louder and higher until it verges on a air-raid siren at 8k.

man, rotaries kick ***, but we all knew that anyway

however i do need to fix this.

is there any way to get the rusted out snapped of stubs of bolts off the presilencer so i can get fresh bolts into it? the one is snapped of flush with the mounting flange and i fear the other one is too.

any ideas on how to fix this without buying a new silencer are welcome.

-thanks
Andy

Too bad you can't cut the volume down but keep the exact same tone!
