Which exhaust for a TII?

I currently have the REVII Exhaust for the TII on my N/A.I am going to be building a TII(yes,From front to back!)..The Thing is my N/A Currently is a "bit" loud.So I am going to be Searching for an Exhaust to hook up to the TII Powerplant,But I don't want it as LOUD as the N/A 's TII exhaust.(lol),when I punch it...so is there anything that would be Lighter and at the same time a little more toned down than the Current Exhaust..I welcome suggestions, and Helpful Info..Thank you.STYX.

Do you have the presilencer the "whole ****"? If you don't I would go with the full REV T2 exhaust. Its quite at idle, and just a beautiful not to loud rev at wot.

Here's a video, might sound different then your n/a.

EDIT: The only way you could go quiter then rb is stock.

well I have A presilencer Per say on it,not teh RevII presilencer as it wouldn't fit unlessi Modified it..so I sold it to someone who could use it,rather than Hack it up/.Maybe if I put in a Borla XR1 in for the Silencer and run the Exhaust that way?..Does that sound reasonable?...I just don't Want to GO single,(well unless I sell this Exhaust!.heh.) but I could be coaxed to do so.

dude, I have the 3" turbo RB systen on my turbo with no presilencer, cat, or anything. It is way quieter than the 2.5" RB turbo catback (with RB header and test pipe) on my old nonturbo. The turbo baffles it a lot. The tone is a lot less buzzy and there is way less droning on the highway.

Run the car with the turbo exhaust first, you may be happy with it.

I haven't heard the borla exhaust, but I'm safe to say go with the revii exhaust. I have it on my 7 and its decent, in fact I think its too quite, but at wot it makes me want to keep it.

Without a doubt I agree with you about single exhaust. Not many cars have that and it just makes the car look alot more aggressive. Although I have noticed quite a few newer vehicles with 2 exits, but those don't count cause there all gay.

A typical turbocharger tends to soak up about 6db of noise, which would reduce the perceived exhaust sound by about 30%, depending on your hearing.

This is why you are NOT supposed to use a turbo exhaust system on your non-turbo engine.

Well EVIL,actually I bought it with the "assumption" that I would Go TII one day!..and I'm trying to Make that Happen. It was a Damn good deal at the Time and I'm not Sorry I bought it or hooked it up to my N/A..The ONLY down fall is the Blare when you Punch it!..People Know you are Coming!..so,Ya,I Definitely will Try the exhaust First..no sense it Taking it OFF the car.I just wanted Info on what other People are Running,as Racing Beat is NOT the only Kid on the block. There are Other systems and I'd like to Know What others are Running, the sound of it,If they are Happy with it,and Of Course the cost!..Cheers again guys!..(I should be Plastered by now..all this "Cheering"!!!)..STYX!~

No kidding? lol

I understand why you did it. I just wanted to make sure you knew WHY it was so loud. Plus, other people will read this thread and hopefully understand the issue prior to making a decision on exhaust choices.

Also, turbo exhaust tends to have a larger diameter, which will hurt the NA engine's performance some, but not by a significant amount for a typical street car. However, those who are concerned about retaining every last drop of horsepower should keep that in mind.

Well I thought about letting it "breathe" so I got the 3 inch thinkin it SHOULD ****** Suck GOBS of air(new intake)and Flow Tornadoes(revII exhaust)!..heh..But ya,I knew it was gonna Be loud..The first Indication of "loud" was when I put a Header on the Beast..heh..I thought that was "loud"..but WRONG I was...Hurt Performance?Ehh..Maybe.I don't DRive the Crap out of it all the time as you would really Notice,so I keep it Conservative.I let it go when I can(Opportunity: I grasp, and Go!).I saw a guy that had 4 Inch exhaust..THAT was OverKill..itlooks like it could shoot Friggin Softballs from the rear of the car..maybe send it over to Iraq,as a new weapon..tey would hear it Coming..then Pull a Flame Show, and they Surrender!..haha!..anyhow,Back to Topic..:other than Racing Beat/Full system..Has anyone ever used Just Part of the Rev II as a Single Set-up?.has anyone ever Modified a Road race setup onto a TII(so that After the Turbo it can Split and use the resonators and then the Mufflers to Each side?..sort of a TII to a Resonated y and the mufflers?..Questions galore. But then again it's Friday night and I am single!..

I have the Racing Beat TII turboback exhaust, and it's just a little too quiet for my tastes. I punched it to redline today and barely heard a thing. I wish it was just a little louder, since switching to a single usually means way too much in the way of noise.
