Exhaust Systems

What Exhaust Systems are you running? I've seen ppl are running RB's but wouldn't it be better to run like a Apexi N1 type exhaust system? Do you get more gains with the RB?

APexI N1 mufflers are nothing but rice fart cans. RB mufflers actually do their job without restricting flow and power. I love ApexI for their elextronics but their exhaust (N1) is just rice. Their GT spec one looks to be actually designed to flow but not the N1 which is the one that most people including a ton of ricers use.

you normally get ripped off at a shop and normally they only do non-mandrel bent... just crappy crush bending with creates restriction in the exhaust... i got a quote from a shop using crappy mufflers and it was 450... wtf i could have almost a racing beat that is DYNOED for gains with that much..... just got to think will you regret not saving a couple of hundred for a QUALITY one or settling for a crappy one... reason im building mine custom is because i do not want RB mufflers but i want everything else they have so i bought the Y pipe alone and the mufflers i wanted seperate and im doing the fab work myself

I still don't have the car, but I have it planed.. Im gonna do it for parts since I don't have much money to spend on it at starters... :P

1st step- 3" downpipe and 3" mid pipe (wich means cats go out) to the stock Y and mufflers
2nd step- Y goes out and I put a single Apex'i Gt Spec wich Ive been led to believe it's the best muffler out there (anyone knows of a better one tell me)

Racing Beat 3" DP, full RE Amemiya 3" split after midpipe to duals w/4 bolt flanges and RE cans. Way too loud/droning at lower rpm's, but nice at higher ones. I'm going to have to choke it a little bit with a high-flow cat or muffler in the midpipe to quiet it down to a more reasonable level for a man of my age

A muffler quiets exhaust noise. Apexi isn't very good at that concept. Buzz buzz anyone....

I see ur point.. so whats the best exhaust there in terms of giving really low restriction levels but capable of doing its normal muffler job ?

Edit: just in case of doubt, no fun intended

Its really not that loud. It looks good, and has a sweet sound at WOT. I don't see whats ricer about a straight through, power adding, 3" turbo exhaust system???
