Question Exhaust sound questions?!?

I'm wondering what you guys think that best sounding exhaust is that's available for the FC. I'm really looking for something that sounds like a TUBI exhaust (a company that makes exhausts for ferrari's...hmmm wonder why i like them??? and nsx, lambos, vipers, etc.). I really love that sound in general and am just looking to see what you guys think. Also if you have sound files post them!!!!!

Thanks

I don't think your ever going to make a rx7 sound like a v12 pistion engine!! My tII has a full 3" turbo back with no cats. the sound is somewhere between my lawn mower and my gixxer 750.

I find that the thing that pleases my ears most is the rotary note... through a catylitic converter. They literally purrr when idling, and when you get on the gas, they make a beautiful, "sporty" exhaust note that you might hear at a race track. When you go straight pipe all the way back, you lose that, I think. I'm really considering having a high flow cat just for the sound! Good question though, I'm interested in what everybody else thinks!

Steve

P.S. With a cat, they don't really "drone" at freeway speeds either, which is a bonus.

checkout www.corksport.com I have the corksport cat back exhaust on my 88 vert. It sounds aggressive, and is a good build. Very easy to install. Also there is a silencer available for it. Increase high end hp and low end torque. Makes my vert rev a lot faster due to extra flow.

Okay maybe I should've been more clear on the subject...I already have an exhaust system on my 7 (I'm not trying to make it sound like a V12...the F355 is a V8 and the NSX is a V6, screw the lambo I just said their name for the heck of it ). I'm just looking for the sounds that you guys have and what you consider to be the best sounding system available. Hell if they have a TUBI or even anything remotely like it I WANT IT! I truly love the sound of the rotary engine (easily the best sounding engine ever), I'm just looking for the "perfect exhaust" to complement it. By the way I also love the sound of the hi-flow cat!

By the way here's a video of an NSX with a TUBI exhaust system...

Now tell me if that isn't one of the most beautiful sounds you've EVER heard...

I got my exaust like 3 mnths ago and so far i feel its the best sounding exaust ive heard. My set up is a bonez staight pipe to the single N1. Obvoulsy i like a loud exaust and thats exactly what it is. But not ricey loud or high pitched its a wonderful low tone exaust note, And when im in a tunnel its even lower i love it.
From what ive been told when you go with downpipe/midpie combo you get an even lower better sounding tone thats like a ferrari sounding exaust. And then headers are prob gonna get you more power but will make your car sound more like a lawn mower.
So your also gonna have to consider weather going for headers or dp combination for the type of sound you might be looking for.
Good luck!

I hate the sound of headers...well I haven't heard them with the exhaust sleeves just yet, but for the PP exhaust I hate the sound.

Get a 20B...add any exhaust you can afford - it'll sound like the TUBI exhaust.

Seriously though, those TUBI exhausts are BANK!&nbsp You willing to spend over a GRAND for such an exhaust?&nbsp It's more the engine exhaust note than anything - the TUBI exhausts (I've been trying to analyze their design) are super long pre-silencer mufflers.&nbsp This allows for a lot of engine muffling...

Yea, I know how much they are (you should see a full exhaust system...$1750 is just a catback), and yes I'm willing to spend the bank for one. I too have analyzed them, have you heard the sound they create though...just gotta love that. Of course I'd have to have ANOTHER 7 to put it on though. Gotta keep the true rotary sound on the original.
