Just a quickie boys and girls, did all 6-port motors come with exhaust sleeves with the little diffusers in them?
Was it only the s4 and 5 6ports that had them? or did the first gens GSL-SE 6port engine have the same diffusers?
Im trying to figure out if this supposed S5 engine I have that im about to start rebuilding has been rebuilt before, it has no diffusers in it and alot of other inconsistant stuff, so if anyone can shed some light on this that would be super!

 

As far as I've seen, all NA 6-port engines have the diffusers in the exhaust sleeves. If you have rotor housings without diffusers, then they have probably been changed.

What other inconsistant stuff have you found?

 

Well I tore the motor appart last night and it has definatly been rebuilt at some stage of its life, all looks very new inside, the cause of apex seal faliure = bolt into combustion chamber, so i need a new rotor/housing. Everything else is fine though.

Was in overall great condition actually, will endevour to get some good pics of it all soon.
