Exhaust rattle troubleshooting?

Other then checking for the usual loose nuts and bolts, what else should I look out for when I take a look under my car for the exhaust rattle?

Thanks!

BTW: Its totally stock.

Jack it up.
Wrap a rag on the end of a board.
Bump the exhaust at different places.
It's probably a bad cat..

Grab it (when it is COLD) and shake it around, follow the sound then cut the bad stuff off and replace with new

The heat shields rust at all the connection points. Mine was dragging down onto the road, I thought my whole exhaust was falling off, then I looked under. It seems to be worst right where it meets the y pipe. There's a hanger there that's integral with the y pipe, stupid design, to really fix it right you have to get the whole unit replaced. I welded mine up and it's holding for now.
