Exhaust Question -downpipe??

I have an 89 nonturbo vert, i recently bought headers, and a presilencer for it from www.racingbeat.com, and the question is what is a "downpipe" or "midpipe" .. =\
i donno if im mising part of the system or what, i wanted to go from the engine, back to the Y pipe. i just wanted to know if i had to buy the downpipe or not

PS i enclosed a pic of the presilencer and the headers, (just ignore the mufflers =P)

Thanx !

Nope your good. Plan on using the stock Y-pipe? If not you'll need that.

A downpipe is usually for a turbo, I know RB sells a sort of NA downpipe that keeps the crappy restrictive header but what you have is a ok.
