Exhaust question?

I have a question about exhaust. I heard someone in the kill section say "about 90 MPH where the exhaust restriction takes my top end power away". Could this be my problem? When I get on it in mine, it pulls pretty hard and runs thru 80 easy, but then around 90 or 100 it doesnt seem to be gaining as fast as it should, it takes quiet some time to get to 100 from 90.

If its an na itll take a bit to get up there, but my friends hits 120 easily. If its a turbo then you have a problem.

Check to make sure 5th and 6th ports are opening up. My wern't and it was ver hard to go over 110. a 5 cent, ground wire gave me tons of power.

Yes, cats could cause this.,.. OR your 6-ports arent opening.. OR your car needs a tune up.

Checking the 6-ports is in the FAQ.

Or it could just be form drag (wind resistance) from the relative wind (car moving through the air). If you double your speed... say 50 to 100... your drag doesn't double -- it increases four-fold. So, just something to consider. The way to battle drag (a rearward acting force component) is to increase your forward acting force component (read: more power/torque). So, assuming your car is up to par, you'll have to increase power/torque to rip through the wind like you're wanting.

And just a sidenote... don't know what gear you're using while winding through 100... try 4th; not 5th. But, drive safe. And always remember speed rating and condition of your tires when driving at those kinds of speeds.
