Exhaust problem...

hi im new to the forum and to the FC community in general but ya, i recently purchased an 88' GTU but when i went to smog it, the report came back as a gross pollutor. apparently the car was eating up way too much oil. i got new exhausts and did a full 60k tune-up but still, car failed smog. ive searched the forums and it seems so far that the best way is to do the "alcohol" trick but no one really elaborates on how to do it. if someone would be able to break it down step by step ill really appreciate it or better yet if anyone knows of a "special" smog center near San Francisco thatll just be super any suggestions would be appreciated thx in advance.

Step one: Buy some denatured alcohol (also known as methyl hydrate)
Step two: Dump it in your gas tank.

With a full tune-up and a new catalytic convertor, you should not need to do this.
