i've had my exhaust plug in for a while now.... and two weeks ago i took it out, and my car starteed backfiring and smokin at startup... as of yesterday, it doesn't anymore, could taking out the plug be the cause of that? the engine adjusting to different packpressure maybe... it runs great now, holds idle and everything, just smoked for two weeks....
(also it got up to 60 last week for the first time since fall)
could that be it?

what do you mean the exhaust plug?

 

hope this plug isnt your o2 sensor, cause that will kill your MPG as if it wasn't bad already.

my bad.... CS catback was with silencer

(p.s. silencer ruined top end and didn't fit right)

 

I cant imagine removing the silencer improving the overall performance of your car that drastically.
