i was under my car, attempting to pull out the precats, well, these stupid ****'s wouldnt come out...unfortunatly, my "friend" who was supposed to help me 3 times already, once again decided to skip out on me, so i was on my own, does anyone have any advice before i drive this car off a cliff?

Trying to get those rusted bolts out? You're probably better off cutting it off if you are.

 

bolts came undone just fine, i can seem to get the precats OUT though. the first precat is unbolted from the manifold, the second is unbolted from the main cat as well as the first precat...its all ready to be pulled out, but wont pull out, it is all loose, but i cant finagle it. :-\

 

Really? That's strange, got a hammer or something to whack it with? Maybe it'll come out with a little force It seems quite strange that it'd be stuck there with the bolts out, mine came right off when I took the bolts out.

 

its the damn studs keeping them from coming out...if i had a someone else i could probably manage, but i dont :-\

 

Oh, I see, damn, maybe with some sort of pry-bar and a hell of a lot of luck, other than that you're gonna have to go pay some homeless guy $5 to do it with you

I was always a fan of the '69 Hemi's, I want a roadrunner so badly Anyway, back to your exhaust, why can't you just take off the main-cat and then take the pre-cat off of the manifold?

well, i didnt want to pull off all the hangers and garbage associated with the main cat, and since i'm strapped for time at the moment, i guess i'll just throw the bolts back on, take a shower, hit the sack, and worry about it 2morrow

 

got them off, clogged like you wouldnt believe...probably pick up 20 hp, lol...now trying to get them back in..oi vey....i'll just call in 2morrow. lol
