Question Exhaust manifold questins

So I take my exhaust manifold and turbo off of my 88 TII (because the manifold is cracked ... Suprise suprise) and I order a new gasket for the manifold. There are the two exhaust holes and then there is one other hole below an off to the side of one of the exhaust holes with a little metal tube running into the manifold. Does anybody know what this extra hole is for and do I need it. The problem is is that the new guasket does not have this hole in the same place. From the look of it on mazdatrix there are like two different guaskets for the turbo and non turbo on the 86-88s. WHY?

Thanks guys.
