A road race header is dual not single, if you want single they sell a whole system from racingbeat.com, and mazdatrix they are both about the same price I think mazdatrix is a little bit higher, but for the whole system it is about $800, and dual is about $1200. And that is for racing beat. Well this has nothing to do with anything but my uncle Andy live in Bloomington to.
hahah. cool. but at RX7.com i can get that single catback system for 519. and a header for 118 so a little under $800, yeah. i think thats what i'll save up for, my first pay check will be for about $100, so unless i get more hours, it will take a while.
A header will not mate to the cat-back if you do that you have to buy a pre-silencer, or have a pipe made that will conect the two.
Why?? if he is going to single it out jsut start with single in the firtst place.
he can get a collector
Well there are 2 things you can do.
Go with little more top end or go with some good mid range power.I would recommend the midrange since you'll be in that range most often.
The top end:
1.Racing Beat Streetable collected header($185ish)
2.Presilencer(neededd to connect header to catback and replace main cat)($90 or 190ish can't remember)
-Definitely needed if you have a S4 and need the porta actuated.
3.CatBack. The Corksport single would provide more topend due to collected exhaust and large diameter.
It's like ($325ish)
Midrange:
1. Racing beat uncollected road race header.
2. Presilencers(2 needed)
3. mufflers and piping(2 mufflers and pipes)
Racing Beat or Mazdatrix sell complete kits but it's like $1k
This one provide more low end torque(needed for n/a's)
and mid range horse. People that do the Autocroos and stuff would prefer this one.
What's the use of top end power unless you can get to it in time?

He's not that old doesn't have the money for a welder and is probaly like me and can't weld for a flip. But if you can go for it, it will be much cheaper. I wish I could actually use the welder we have and make a good beed but I suck at it.
