Exhaust leak on my rb exhaust, how to fix it?
Exhaust Setup
-Rb Header (New Engine-Header Gasket Doesn't Leak)
-Rb Presilencer (New Gaskets Front and Rear-Heres the problem)
-Rb Y pipe and Mufflers (Muffler-Y Pipe Gaskets Don't Leak)
The Leaks:
-1 of the front presilencer studs weld broke so I had a new one put in, they put in the new stud and tacked it right on top of the flange, so when it bolts down it doesn't completely seal because the weld there, and yes i grinded the weld down a bit and still a leak..
-1 of the rear presilencer studs is stripped, tried rethreading, using washers to try to catch the top but nothing, should i just do what i did with the above one and live with 2 small leaks, or is there a better way?
My friend also told me that header wrap can seal it very well and if i seal the stud on the rear just to wrap the 2 leaks and hold it tight, any thoughts on that?
Maybe an exhaust shop has certain ways of stopping leaks, i dunno.

My old RB 2.5" presilencer broke a stud as well.
What I did to fix it was grind the broken stud flush with the presilencer, drill the now flush stud out, fill weld in that hole and drill and tap it for a proper threaded in stud instead of the RB "bad idea" welded stud.
Sealed without a problem after that and had a replaceable stud as it should have from the start!
