What are the advantages/disadvantages of using ss304 to do my dp back exhaust vs using aluminized steel?

Thanks

Aluminized Steel will eventually rust. Eventually. 304SS, has a high SS content so it's resistance to oxidation (rust) is significantly lower. And from personal experience, SS exhausts sound different too.

Auto manufacturers today even use a low end grade of stainless, T409 I believe. Do it right and use 304 or 321 SS

Yes, Stainless steel has a much much higher "resistance" to rust than aluminized steel, and the exhaust will have a better sound.

Costs about twice as much thou.

I guess going ss wont be that much more expensive.

$240 - 2 magnaflow 4" straight through mufflers
$55 - magnaflow 5" exhaust tip or maybe for $115 the 6" tip, go big or big or go hom
$30 - 4 exhaust hangers
$45 - 4 clamps

for ss
$33 -burns 3"-4" transition
$150 - 2 4' sections of ss304 from jegs (probably could be found cheaper)
$20 - 3" ss flange to connect to dp

for aluminized
43 for the pipe
20 for the transition
14 for the flange

for ss 340+203=543+ship
for aluminized 340+77=417+ship
i guess for 130 i should just do it. Time to sell my dual N1s
