Exhaust and Emissions. Help I dont want to waste my money!!!

Hey I am redoing the exhaust on my 87 fc. If i use a magnaflow or flowmaster single inlet/dual outlet after the cat and then run stragh pipes back, would it still be legal? would it be ridiculously loud o manageable? I know heres alot of infoon this but i ddnt find any specifi threads about swithching to a singl exhaust in ths manner on an FC. Basically i want to know if anyone can giv me a good reason no to before i drop a bunch of cash
thanks!!

I dont have an exhaust on my RX7 but I have a custom 3inch turbo back Side Exit on my SRT-4 and its straight pipe no muffler no nothing... I cant pass emissions with it.. That and i have no cat either. Here they just go through the OBD reader to see if any codes are being thrown, not sure if its the same there.

....Turbo or NA?

Although. Racing Beat exhaust for the win...Flowmaster sucks, sounds HORRIBLE on a rotary. Magnaflow's are good, but..

Quiet when you want them to be...but loud enough to get the point accross when you want!
