Exhaust ?

im going to be in the market for a full exhaust system, and i was looking on ebay and found this

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

has anybody bought this and installed it on their car. it looks like its gonna be loud cause it doesnt look like it has built in resonators in the y pipe like the Greddy PE or the Apexi N1.

btw the car its gonna be installed is a 1990 S5 turbo with stock turbo and most likely stock ports.

almost certainly will be loud, quite possibly obnoxious. For exhaust, especially with our cars, money means quality materials, and quality materials mean better sounding exhaust. You get what you pay for.

Don't forget with the free flowing exhaust, you're going to want to port your wastegate. You're a little better off with the s5 turbo, but still not gunna be enough to keep you from over boosting.

Look for an exhaust thats stainless steel. HKS, Apexi, Greddy, Racing Beat. I would suggest investing in something to either control or add fuel before you buy an exhaust. I've read many forums about t2's need more fuel when you start opening up the exhaust or intake.

I have a corksport with a magnaflow straightthrough I added in. It is just tolerable at best. 2 mufflers are a minimum on rotaries.

with ebay, what it says and what you get can be two separate things. Not saying it isn't or that it won't work well. I have no idea since I don't have it, but buyer beware at that price. Might not fit very well and need modification, might be fine.

If you get it, post a video so future people can see. I'm curious too.

in terms of noise it won't be that bad. the car is turbo and this is a dual system with what appears to be a presilencer.

what about the corksport power series header back system? http://www.corksport.com/corksport-p...haust-rx7.html Anyone who has this or knows anyone who does i would appreciate any kind of review. it looks nice, $750 and it will replace everything. I've always wanted an apexi gt spec but it's like 550$ for catback only and it's all just piping, just the diameter is what makes any difference i think. I also have plans of swaping my current na s5 for something real special but thats like a year away and if i get this exhaust the only part of it that goes obsolete is the headers and i can sell those on craigslist with limited miles
