Exhaust

Well my exhaust is currently screwed....My header gasket is no good and so it sounds like a lawn mower.....a really loud lawn mower.... I also hear that from this I'm losing a lot of compression as well as power. I was wondering what kind of power if any will i regain once i get this replaced. Will the power difference be noticable. And I've also been saving for the complete Racing Beat exhaust. What are the power gains i can expect from this. One more thing is where can i get a good CAI system from. And whats better, Cone or cold air box?

Yes you will loose power if you have a major exhaust leak close to the engine.

I would expect the power to be noticable. Normally the minimum most people can feel is a 10% increase in power, so I would expect you should be able too.

As far as the RB exhaust. A RB true dual (race) system (a single exhaust all the way back for EACH rotor) you might see a 25-30 HP increase. Most exhausts on a non turbo get you a 10-15 HP increase over stock as long as they do not exceeed 2- 2 1/8 inch piping (keeps volocity up) on dual exhaust systems.

a true cold air intake with cold air box might net you 5 HP peak. Just slapping a cone filter on generally won't do squat
