there is none. refer to my injector chart should be posted somewhere int he archives or in a couple of pretty recent threads so search for my username and injector and youll find lots of info. No rx7s came with 2 different injectors(primary vs. secondary) stock.

Provided the information he gives is correct, yes he is. 1350's are ALWAYS NA injectors, 460s. 1370's are turbo 550s.

I'm guessing you're 100% sure on that bit
IM sure on all of it. I have taken apart each of these cars listed above, one by one, noted the style and number of injector, and compiled that list. As you can see it is pretty detailed, and easily confused, so people who advertise the wrong thing arent necessarily ripping off people, its just hard to figure out what youve got unless you have a LOT of experience, which is why I made that list up.

The chart was compiled by parting out year and model cars and noting the injectors that came in it. The only way to verify, or dispute that information, is do part out one of each of the 7 models listed. Go right ahead

BTW FD= 3rd gen, fc=2gen, fb/sa=1gen

Reasion I ask is because I keep finding varations from the chart like right now a guy is selling 550's on ebay part number 1370 and they are red top with offset. Well according to the chart they should be purple.

Also I have 6 Low IMP injectors which 4 have a purple top and square with center grove and the other 2 are tan with square top and center grove. I tested them with a Ohm meter and got 4.27 I believe? on both the tan and the purple top. I then tested a set of 550 High imp with red tops and they tested 14.something ohms so I know the others are low impedance.

Some of the aftermarket injectors have different colors, as well as purple sometimes fades to pinkish, which is sometimes confused with red.

But Kevin is right on his chart for the FC above.

5 stars!

195500-1356

what are these??

any way to tell if it is low or high other than color? are all 87 injectors low impedence?

i read in a few places that some of the later 87 models had high impedence injectors.

you test the impedance with a DMM set to ohm.

I have never heard of 1356. maybe youre seeing the 6 instead of a 0

IF yu read carefully the part numbers for teh low imp. and high imp 87-88 t2 injectors(and na ones as well) have the same part number even though their color, impedance, and notch position differ.

Note that some injectors carry the same part number as others but plug styles and resistances can vary
86-87 13B T low square center 550cc tan 195500-1370
88 13b T high square offset 550cc purple 195500-1370
As for the purple ones being low impedance, never heard of that. Where is teh notch on them, center or offset? Offset notch indicates high impedance, cenetered notch indicates low. Maybe your dmm is outta whac, as Ive never heard of resistances higher than 13.5.

I also have both tan and purple 1370's that all test ~2.4 ohms. Same measured resistance value with 6 of the tan, 4 of the purple, and 4 SE injectors. All of these have the same "square" center notch.

Well the definite rule of thumb is the notch position and DMM reading, but it seems ND liked to play with colors a lot

That's what I'm sticking to as well!

Unless somehow purple can EVENTUALLY fade away to tan...Tan is awfully pale, you know.

While we are on the subject of injectors, today I went to put bigger secondaries in and I noticed on the primaries there were gromets around the top of the hole on the block. Then I looked at the secondaries and saw that I didn't have any on those injectors. Does anyone know if they should also be on the secondaries?
thanks

Sir Ted writes that the purple tops will turn tan/brown with heat and age.
