Ever use a stock BOV from another car???

Anyone ever use a BOV from a Saab or a Talon??
I have heard a lot of people doing turbo conversions on other cars (eg Hondas) that love the 1st gen Eclipse/Talon BOV's.... they even make kits that allow you to put the 1st gen BOV on a 2nd gen Eclipse because they are presumably better....

I have heard that the Mazda CBV leaks after 9 psi or so...

Any reasons not to use one from a talon or Saab??
They are cheap- like 40 bucks.

Thats' what I was looking at... they seem to have pretty good reviews... can hold up to 20 psi!

I have seen Supra BOVs used in several applications, and preseumably, they are pretty good....

I just bought an Apex'i BOV, so my problem is solved.

It kind of sounds like a big bus when it stops, if you've ever heard it. Check cymfc3s's car, he has a video of it on the dyno on here.

What would be nice would be totally redesigned turbo housing- where the BOV would vent the 12 psi or so directly onto the exhuast side turbine vanes.....
That would be super effecient, and totally eliminate any lag after a shift- probably lead to some mad second gear patches!

Oh well, i'm just musing again...

Aaron: Apex'i.. sweet! Did you get that S-AFC yet??
