depends what you want to d with the car. And if you are dead set on the turbo motor why don't you just sell your NA and buy a t2? Save alot of headaches and some cash.

Buk is trying to tell you that the TII swap is a mojor PITA.. especially if you have little or no experience with RX's.... By the time you get done buying the parts, you could have had a running TII if you sold your car!!

Get the Bruce Torrentien(sp?) video and take a peep at that, rubilding a rotary is actually pretty easy, but its time consuming and messy (lots of cleaning involved) and you do need a couple of special tools to make life easier.

Most guys on here will jump around like lunatics at this suggestion.. but, why not just chuck a 302 in it??? Cost a lot less than doing a turbo conversion!!!

The stock S-4 and S-5 turbo motors are single turbo. The 13b-REW (third gen engine) is sequential. So you get single turbo if you stick with a FC engine.

if you want performance than go t2. if you want reliability than go n/a.

t2 swap is costing me $5k. i know i could of just bought a rx that is already t2, but you don't learn anything when you do that. sides, i got nothing else to do, might as well mess with my car.

What he said. Rebuild, give it a nice streetport. Make it handle like a bitch with all the money you saved from not going turbo.

If you have a second car to drive, I'd say give rebuilding it yourself a shot. I'm in the process right now. I don't know all that much but I have a general understanding of how it works. To say the least, it will be a learning experience.

You need lots of stuff to turbo an N/A, not the least of which is a standalone ECU. There are several threads around about it, including a great writup on aaron cake's site.

You can buy a j-spec turbo engine for about 900 with shipping. and the whole swap will cost you about 2000-3000.
we got ours done with 2500. we had to buy everything, whoever in japan, that had the engine, had ripped out everything from the BOV to the clutch.... but it still only cost us 2500, used the stock wire harness and got ahold of a turbo ecu *n37X*
so it wasnt too bad.
