engine swaps

Im just forecasting way ahead right now because my engine is in great shape. But anyways, I am planning on throwing a new engine in my car when the old one goes. Just how much work would it be to throw a j-spec turbo in my GXL when the time comes. Not including the cost of the engine, how much would I end up having to pay for other ****, and most importantly, how well will it work?

On the other hand, how much do you think it would be to throw a 20B in my car?

Im just thinking about all this ****, not because im thinking something is going to happen to my car, but because I dont want to get rid of it. And if th engine ever did go I know it would be alot cheaper for me to throw a new engine in. And I would rather put a new engine in my cars body than buy a new FC, because I know my car and I know it was taken good care of, seems less risky that way.

I think im also asking because I am just planning ahead in case this nitrous kit im gonna put in toasts my engine.

everything i have ever been told about engine swaps says keep it the same, if it came out of a 91, put a 91 engine back in it. Their are so many different wiring harnesses, different ecu's, tb's, etc. it would be a huge hassle. why not get a performance built engine that is model specific that is designed around your needs.
