i have a 1987 rx7 with 167000 miles and the steering is making noises and it is not getting enough fuel into the engine so it jerks like crazy when you wanna go. i also have another one the same year that tried to hug a telephone pole but the engine is fine with only 71k and it has cruise and pwr mirrors and besides the indention of a pole on the driver side front fender. its ok. the fender was bent to just about where the oil cap is and it pulled the strut apart. should i swap the engines or should i fix the telephone hugger with the parts off the bad engine one?

 

I would take the good engine out of the bent frame and put it in the good frame and use the bent car for parts. Usually, straightening a frame is near impossible to do correctly and its never as strong as it was before the accident. A good mechanic might be willing to take the bad engine in a partial or complete trade for switching the engines.
