Exclamation Engine Swap 99.5% done, need help!!

I'm a complete newb, I just rushed into this rotary thing. As soon as I bought my RX7 (91 NA) it broke about 3 weeks later (AS SOON AS SUMMER STARTED!!!) and i've been working on for 3 weeks (after it sat at my house for a good couple of weeks). I got a 91 FC3C engine from a fellow forum member for a good deal and the first week of working on the car I took the old one out and put the new one in. ever since then I've been running into problems here and there and I usually solved them, but i've run into one big one and a few small ones I cant really figure out.

Problem 1:
there are about three connectors that I have no idea where they go. one from the Oil pan (guessing its the oil pump or sensor) on the driver side. I can't see another thing to connect to.

Theres another one behind the water pump in the middle of the top and bottom intake manifold (part of where the injector connections are) and I'm sure there's one more I can't think of.

Problem 2: I think this is a bigger problem
I've connected everything I can find to connect to something else but for some reason nothing electrical is working. I'm pretty sure I connected the battery wires where they belong I mean I can't imagine anywhere else they would go to. I was told it might be the grounds, that I might have missed one but I double checked and I can't find one ground thats not grounded.

again I'm a newb, i rushed into this because I needed a car for summer to take me to a job and then for the rest of the year to go to school. Thanks for any help

Problem 2: Make sure all of your wires are connected to the main fuse box. The ground that will be used for things like your interior guages and lights is on the engine harness (should sit a few inches back up from where the wires connect to the starter). If this isn't grounded that could cause some big problems. It should be connected to the engine side of the bolt that goes throught he bell housing of the tranny to the engine for the starter, just put it on before the nut.

Problem 1: The connector on the oil pan about 3 inches from the drain bolt as I recall, is your oil level sensor. It needs to plug into the same harness I mentioned before. It should be a small wite clip that slides right into it.

Are these other connectors electrical connectors?

If there are two "sensors" mounted on the left side of the oil pan, one is the oil thermo switch that was used for the sub-zero starting system, and the wiring connector for it might have been removed previously, that would explain that missing connector...

The wiring harnesses in these cars were installed at the factory with options in mind- if you don't have the option on the car, you're going to have "spare" connectors...

If the S5's are like the S4's, you have a major ground on the left strut tower, hidden below a bunch of plastic standoff supports & electrical tape. Then your starter ground. Then your tranny-to-firewall bonding wire, and your rear rotor housing ground...If all these are good, look elsewhere for the cause of your electrical problem (check the main fuses also)

couldn't see ****, wish i had a garage at my house so i can work inside and in light, but i'm at my friends house and his garage is occupied.

About the oil sensor, there is a white clip near by that I thought was it but it doesn't fit onto the sensor clip, they look like they should fit together though, but they just don't.

I'll post tomorrow when i have more light and I'll check them again then and look for the harness

guh? I can only remmber two of those grounds you mentioned, Theres one on the starter and the one that connects the tranny to the firewall, I'll look for the strut one tomorrow, and I don't remember seeing the rear rotor housing ground, thanks for the info though
