engine swap...
im thinking of starting to look for a tII (decided to do this because of all the advice you guys have given) at junkyards. How much do you think it would cost to swap a TII engine etc. into a na 87 gxl? All i really want is the turbo and all the pieces that go with it etc. possibly the injection and all fuel parts of the TII also. thnx

Not including the rebuild on the Jspec or any other new parts (like a FMIC), just the raw used engine and drive line parts and my own labor for free I have spent around $3k.
But if you count all the new parts and rebuild parts; its closer to $5k on top of the price of the car. In other words I could have bought a series 5 T2 for just what I have added to the car.
But I have a 'vert and was gonna buy a slightly used Boxster or s2000 or Z3 instead, so from that end I am coming out ahead.
