engine swap

engine swap

i dont kno if you consider this as a swap but im wandering will an 88 rx7 motor fit in a 91 and use the same wire setup from my 91

Physically the engine will bolt up, but the wiring harness isnt close to the same. Plus the differences in the front covers and the counter weights between the s4 and s5.

yeup. Mine is all s4 stuff. I blew the engine and got a s5 setup. I jsut reused my s4 injectors

Yes, you can. Check out the tech section of www.rotaryresurrection.com for details. Basically, you will need to bolt everything (even the front cover) from your s5 onto the s4 block.

well i went and i bought this s4 engine core at pick n pull the other day and yes its been rebuilt already saves me the trouble but anyhow while i was getting the engine on the same rx7 i got a cold air intake racing beat exhaust and the back upper and front upper sway bars. and ill be going back to get the lowering springs so is that a good find on an rx7 at a pick n pull or what ill have pics posted up when i can find my camera
