i think there might be some links in the faq sticky at the top of this section. just go in there and right in the first post it'll say engines as one of the selections and it'll have tons of info on motor swaps. also, just for future reference try using the search button just to avoid being flamed by a lot of people on this forum. this subject has been covered more than enough times in plenty of detail. just start with the stuff in the faq and go from there

If you dont need the Wiring harness to stay in the car: Locate the ECU in the passenger area of the cabin by the kick panel and disattach the Harness from the ECU. Then unbolt the moter mounts, tranny mount and remove the driveshaft. Remove the throttle cable and cruise control if you have it. Then remove the Speedo cable from the tranny and the unclip the few wires for the tranny. Then, remove (or cut) any hoses in your way. Shouldnt take you more than an hour or two if you are a dilligent worker.
If you do need to keep the wiring harness in the car, then remove the UIM (and everything involved w/ taking it off like injecters, rails, etc) then carefully remove the wiring harness from the engine and move it to the passenger side of the engine bay to avoid damaging it. Then remove the throttle cable, hoses, tranny wiring harness, and speedo cable. Drop the drive shaft, remove the engine and tranny mounts.
In both instances you will be removing the engine and the tranny at the same time. If you dont want to remove them both at the same time then dont, but if you are working alone then you should because its easier to remove and replace the engine=>tranny bolts while its out of the car and it goes back in just as easy...
That is probably as detailed as you can expect besides the FSM. But I think even in that its a bunch of generalizations. My advise to you is to just go and start removing ****. Maybe taking pics while your doing it that way you remember the setup (or you can label everything)
