engine supposed to be offset in engine bay?

I am in the process of installing a rebuilt engine and I am wondering if it is supposed to be perfectly straight in the engine bay or is it offset slightly to the right (looking from front of car). I have the engine tighted flush against the bell housing, so I know the engine is in the tranny straight, it is just crooked in the bay. thanks for the help

Its liek that to make room for the turbo and stuff on the TII models, and it just carries over to the n/a's.

that doesn't sound right to me, but then again, I'm not 100% sure, when I did my install it looked straight, but I didn't look THAT close to it.

they are most definitely offset to the drivers side. if you notice, on a turbo II, the IC scoop is offset to the drivers side as further evidence.

thanks a lot for the reassurance. I was just spooked that I would tear apart my drive shaft the day I get it running.

thanks again
