Engine stuck to transmission?

I find this hard to believe when I say it myself, but.. I'm SO FRUSTRATED. It literally as if the two have molded together.

The pilot bearing was going out (or so I assumed... it had the symptoms) so I decided to just replace the clutch.. 4 puck was getting annoying.. but yeah, I've never encountered this.

Any ideas? I'm lost.

Like Karack mentioned all the bolts are removed correct? And you are holding the tranny up with a jack of some sort to keep it level with the motor? Do that and the tranny should slide right out....make sure the bolts are off all the way...you might have left the one undereath where the starter goes and are just tugging away at the tranny in vain.

If your certain the pilot bearing is destroyed then you can be almost certain that the input shaft welded itself together w/the pilot bearing and e-shaft. To break it free you'll need to hook everything back and and try starting the car. You might be pushing the limits of your starter but just keep cranking the car til it breaks loose. I had this same problem cause the pilot bearing was destroyed and the tranny was stuck. I did this and it freed the input shaft and the tranny came right out.
