Talking engine smoking???

Engine smokes intermittantly after running for awhile and this has not yet been identified (does NOT smell like oil or rubber burning). im currently lookin at a turbo II fro $2000 . can this problem be from old apex seals? can you guys tell me what may be wrong? and some site where i may find the parts i need to fix the problem.. thanks, matt (new to 7's)

Well matt you found the right place if you own a 7. I take it you have an N/A (naturally aspirated/non turbo). It will smoke sometimes when warming up or if you romp on it when its cold. It also smokes sometimes when decelerating after high rpm'ing it. Do a little searching using "search forums" and you will be surprised how easy most anything on these cars is to fix, welcome to the forums.

What color is the smoke? If its white and smells kinda sweet, its coolant. The coolant seals tend to wear and and the only fix is a rebuild.

My engine smokes a lil bit after visiting redline, is that normal? It's just a few trails of smoke coming out of the exhaust.

its prolly starting to run too rich, that or the water seals are starting to go bad....if its starting to smoke after redline thats were the engine runs too rich, if the smoke has a blue tint to it then its running rich, if its white then the water seals are going bad, and like sidewayz 7 said, the only way to fix that is to rebuild...
