Engine rebuilders in kansas city?

Does anyone know of some one that rebuilds engines in the Kansas City area? My 89 s5 na is leaking coolant into the combustion chamber. I work as a cell tower climber so I don't have hardly any free time to work on it myself. Or if anyone has a good s5 engine I'd buy that too.

I'm not to familiar of any reputable builders in KC but your best bet would probably be taking it to the rotary doctor down in Neosho, MO. (about 2 1/2 hours south of KC)

That's probably the most reputable person to take it to here in Missouri.

Prather is in topeka and then there's the rotary doctor in Neosho, which is outside of springfield i believe. Both are top notch.

Thank you for the advice! I'll definitely look them up. I used to be more active in the Kc rotary scene before I started traveling and moving around a lot. Funny thing is I have spotted several rx7s from the tower. Most impressive one was a beastly sounding fd, It was loud from 250ft up. Thanks again for the advice.

Did some Television transmission towers.
London Ontario at 1150 feet up,about 4 in the morning...street lights looked like honey drops forming a little pattern.
1365 feet on Hwy#11 in Ontario..18 wheelers looked like kiddy toys, people on the ground were like black pepper specks...Snow formed rings round the tower all the way down looked like a marshmallow blanket with a shish-kebab skewer in the middle..lol!
Anyhow, sorry to hi-jack,I just get worked up with the stories of "old" and sharing with someone who knows what I am talkin about.

Definitely second Prather. Great guy and does awesome work. Have read a lot of good things about the Dr. too. Either one should work for you!

Yes it is awesome talking to some one that understands what it's like to work at heights on towers! Though the highest I've been is 550'! My favorite badass stories to tell is working near the Canadian border in February on a tower covered in 3" of ice. It was actually more but the ice formed in sheets going sideways from the wind. In some places the sheet stuck out half a foot. -35 windchill is the worst I've climbed in, how about you?

Yes I think it was a blue fd, just brutal sounding. Tell your friend he impressed a fellow rotard up on a cell phone tower. Made my week like you wouldn't believe.

Rotary Doctor (Kyle) is on 417rotary.com if you want to talk to him online. It is easiest just to call. I can vouch for him. I grew up in Joplin, and he worked on most of the rotary cars there. The business has been a rotary only shop since 1971. He has an awesome source of 1st and 2nd gen parts cars too.

Winnipeg was about -40 at the airport and a wind that could cut steel.(didn't factor wind chill, but "ffffuuuuu*******" it was cold.Instant frostbite when you had to take your glove off)

You can use this if you like.

you are on the Tower...yell over to your buddy..(generic names but you get the drift..)

"Hey BOB,I can see your House from here!..and your Wife's car.....what's JOHN's car doing in the Driveway?.

Wow that is horrific, never worked in anything that bad! Though now that its starting to get warm I'm sure we'll chase winter for the next several months. You know how it is, north for the winter and south for the summer. Haha. That's hilarious one, ill definitely use that on the tower!
