I'm going to be doing an engine rebuild within the next week or so.
Is it possible to compression test the engine before I drop it back in the car?

 

Bolt on the trans and starter. But unless you build with new housings and seals it will take some time for the engine to build its full compression.

If you just want to make sure its all correct, just listen three strong puffs from each rotor.
