CA Engine question

So i got a 91 S5 with a busted apex seal motor in it. Just picked up a running 88 s4 motor (i do own a 86). I know the intakes are different, but will i be able to plug everything else into the s5 w/ s5 tranny? My dad won't believe me that it wont work

Thanks in advance

For the most part, you can just bolt the S5 intakes and electronics onto the S4 block. There will be a few differences (threads on coolant temp gauge sender come to mind) but for the most part it will bolt on.

It will bolt right to the transmission. Keep the S4 flywheel to maintain balance.
