engine problems
Hi, I have a non-turbo 87 gxl, and I'm having a very strange/severe problem.
It started when I took it to an exhaust shop, and got a new system put on. It's a free flowing system, with 2.5 in piping, and high flow cat.
After They got done with the system, I started the car, and it ran fine until I revved it. It wouldn't go past 4000 RPM's. I tried to drive it home, but it had no power at all. I didn't hear any strange noises at idle, but when I revved it I heard a high pitched squealing sound, and smoke came out from under the hood. I couldnt get the car past 45 mph.
Any ideas what the problem is would be greatly apreciated. Thanks.
