Engine pic + description of parts request
This was from a post I saw in the first gen section. Excellent identification and easy to read picture. I've looked around and cannot seem to find one for 2nd gens... especially for turbo models.
I'm specifically looking for an s4 t2 diagram like this, but any s4 or s5 would work I suppose. I know some of the major engine components would still be the same or in the same location though. You can read the FSM all day long, but sometimes a pic like this is ...well, worth a 1,000 words
Has anyone done something like this with the engine on a stand? Maybe from different angles too?
The reason I ask is I find it difficult to locate some sensors or items on the engine while it is still in the car (especially ones hidden or below other parts), and a diagram like the one above would be very useful for diagnosing problems and locating parts. I think the more detailed the better.
I know there are pics of stock engines floating all around the forum. If there isn't one already, would someone mind taking the time to create a diagram like the one above? I'm familiar with most of the major systems, but some of the solenoids and vacuum controls, etc
I'm lost at identifying, and I know some of you can take one look at it and say "oh, that's [insert part name here]" much faster and more accurately.
