I finally got my project started this weekend and boy was it fun...

What it boils down to is I got the engine apart and was quite surprised. The rear rotor/housing was BLACK.. obviously running horribly rich. Now this is oddly confusing also because the engine was only running on one rotor.

Compression check , though , showed good compression on both rotors! So it was obviously a furl problem of some sort. The engine is getting rebuilt anyway because of smoking problems.

ANyway, when i took the engine apart I found a few things. Both housings are in beautiful shape! not even any chrome flaking at all. Thank the allmighty for that! Now heres the real kicker, I looked into the water passages to look for rust/damage and managed to find some large chunks of RTV in a few of them They are all also covered in a brown goo that frankly, looks like baby poop. All that is clean now and everything looks to be good.

My attention now is getting to my fuel problem. I am replacing the 2 main injectors and getting my secondarys cleaned so that HOPEFULLY will take care of that problem. I feel pretty sure that that was the problem because although the rear was rich, the front housing echaust port and spark plugs were a healthy light brown, so the rest of the fuel system seems to be working ok!

All my parts are supposed to be here next weekend so until them im just cleaning and reading on other possible problems.

Oh yea, I also have some extra parts from another engine laying around. I have a good front rotor housing, intermediate housing, front housing and front covers. I would be happy to take some high res pics of any of them if anyone would be interested in buying them!
