Engine not cranking?! Video inside!!
Man. I haven't even had time to touch FC in weeks! I feel so ashamed.
But I have been trying to track down an LIM, but I'm having more trouble finding one than I thought.
I need to get my *** in gear after these Finals....

Is my starter hooked up correctly?
I apologize for the blurry picture. It's a cell phone pic.

The right side stud has the solenoid with. The Spade connector is on the spade, and the left side stud has a a wire running from the harness I think? Also, The bolt that threads through the left side of the starter has a ground on it that I placed there. I'm not sure if it was the proper spot to place it, but it looked to be the closest.

Are there multiple things going on here?
I did simply as the followed. When I went to connect the battery at the terminals, the starter spun? Nothing was even intentional and it spun. Did I miss something? I attempted it 3 times, and each time I attempted to connect the positive battery terminal, the starter spun. Never got to actually sit in the car and try to start it. Also each time I did that, I didn't hear the starter engage at all.

Sounds like I messed up the arrangement of where the wires go. I'm going to have to go look at my starter to see where I went wrong. I guess that's what's wrong.
Yep. Fucked up my answer. Sorry 'bout that. I'll stick to working on my lawnmower or weedeater one.

just a thought do you have floor mats on the drivers side?
i ask only cause i had one that every now and again i would push the floor mat to far up towards the firewall and it would cause my clutch pedal to not fully engage. once i slid it out it worked just fine.

refer to this page, and do everything.
the starter wiring is the simplest circuit on the whole damn car.

Thanks, im a senior in highschool and im now just brushing the surface of electrical work in my physics class... ive never taken any shop classes so i dont understand any of this ****. this(and alot of things) have kept my car down for a whole year and i can never find anything when i search. i do understand why people dont help (because people like me ask for help too ******* much)
I Took apart the harness and set it out on the floor just like that shows, double checked how it was set up, and tested for continuity in the wires and it all checks out right. gonna solder the spot it shows and wrap it up later so we will see how it turns out when i put it in tonight!
Thanks,
Sean
Thanks,

Sorry. I'm pretty sure I've been *Stuck on Stupid* on how to connect the starter wiring up. I'll take a look in the next couple of hours to make sure I was being Flat Stupid in my jps etc. Falls under *stuff happens*/Head stuck up my dark spot/etc*.
Yeah. I fucked up badly.
The solenoid has two large terminals. One terminal gets the cable coming out of the internals of the starter body. The other terminal gets the positive cable from the battery. And of course the small blade gets the trigger signal wire from the ignition.
Sorry 'bout that Gunner and everybody who follow my sad advice earlier.
Good to see you guys remove the battery cable prior to doing electrical work on the car. Done. Gotta go work on my tricycle now.

I have a b-day party to go to this weekend (sat or sun), but I wouldn't mind coming up and helping out if you're working on it. I can bring the haynes manual and a multi-tester and work that **** out.
