Well, my friend and I were trying to replace the waterpump on the SE, and found it completely rusted. So, we had an extra one, and decided to swap them out. We take the water pump off, and, the right side coolant passage is completely blocked off with thick jelly like sludge. We look farther in, and find both passages completly rusted out.

We then decide that for daily driving purposes, we would need a nice fresh 13B. We pull everything off, down to the bare block, and are gettin the EGR off. We take that off, and there is thick solid chunk of carbon below the egr plate.

At this point, I am kinda depressed, but, understanding. So, finally, we get to the point where the 6 port sleeves are. One finally broke loose with a ton of WD-40, the other........wont even budge. So, I think this motor has seen its last days. Off to find a used N/A 13B that will fit 86-88 rex..........
