Engine makes a whisling sound when I decelerate while in gear.
What could it be the engine or the transmission? I can rev the engine up while not in gear and it doesn't make the sound. When I'm driving and still in a gear and I let off the accelerater it make this slow whisling noise as the rpm's drop, WTF could it be?
any help would be appreciated.

Gear whine
Mine does this too, all rx7's of our generation seem to, some are louder than others, if yours is loud enough for you to complain about it probably is louder than normal. you may want to change the fluid in the transmission, it may be time for that. if you transmisison is low on fluid or the fluid has broken down then it will casue this. if it's not too terribly loud then i wouldn't worry much about it (though i still suggest you change the tranny fluid, not enough people do that)
