Engine makes a whisling sound when I decelerate while in gear.

What could it be the engine or the transmission? I can rev the engine up while not in gear and it doesn't make the sound. When I'm driving and still in a gear and I let off the accelerater it make this slow whisling noise as the rpm's drop, WTF could it be?

any help would be appreciated.

Check drive shaft U joints front and rear while you're under there. Take a real good look at the front ones by the transmission. they will cause it to whistle even grate if going bad.
