Engine Loss of power

Ok first off I am new to the Rotary world so please bare with me on this. I now own a 1990 GTU car with only an Apexi n1 exhaust installed. Also to be honest I think the other owner said he put a new downpipe on it so both Cats are gone. The engine runs fine, idles great, does the 3k-1,800-750rpm start up great its just the car seems to be dead after 6k and I want to make sure it is ok.

NOW i have searched and I did go back about 6 pages to find out exactly the same post. But the thing is I have ZERO idea what anything is on this car so I need a tad bit more help. Also I looked in the FAQ section to read that there might be a bad ground that could also be causing this. I just need some help.

thanks in advance.

I think the bad ground is just a hesitation at 3800 rpm. It might be your 5th and 6th ports not opening fully or at all. Check out http://www.aaroncake.net/RX-7/6porttest.htm to see what they are/how they work and how to test them.
