engine light please help

I have a 1990 rx7 and the engine light is telling me the I have an issue with my crank agle sensor and my trailing ignition coil now I'm a new rx7 owner and from what I can see the c.a.s is adjustable is that the case or does it need to be replaced and if it is adjustable will it also correct my ignition coil issue? Thank you for reading.

The CAS is adjustable but your error code probably points to a connection problem so check the quality of the plug connection. And do the same thing w/the coil for starters.

Even though the connection may be tight it could be corroded. So just to make sure I would unplug that connection and inspect it.

Besides corrosion, another thing to look for when you inspect the plugs is that the metal pins themselves have not been pushed back over time, therefore not making a good connection. This happens more commonly on some of the other connector types (specifically the bosch injector style clips) but it's something to look for, still.

Ok thank you for the help ill be sure to do a full inspection of all the clips if they are corroded what's the best thing to use to clean them and I'm assuming dielectric grease would be a good idea
