engine knocking and running bad

ok i have about 1100 miles on my new motor. i was driving it around the other day and it started running like crap. i was only a couple blocks from home when i happened and i barely made it home. i had to keep my foot on the gas to keep it from dying. the next day i put some new spark plugs in it thinking they were just fouled and started it up. the car took a minute to start and once started it was making a knocking sound. almost like rod knock. i mean sounds just like rod knock. i did a compression check and everything is at 90psi. any ideas oh yeah it still runs like crap

If your having to press the gas pedal all the way down check your fuel pressure.

if its making a knocking noise u could of spun a bearing or somthing.. how was your oil pressure before this happend??? generally a rotary with as punb earing will run ok, but after a while they will run bad and even make some kinds of "knocking noise"

the oil pressure was fine. its not ignition knock. so a bad bearing would be a safe guess.

no i dont have to push my gas pedal down all the way it actually will fire and idle by it self but when i give it a little gas it wants to die and the knocking sould gets worse and i have to pump the gas pedal to get it to start.
