Arrow disputed rebuild breakin procedures

Ok guys I recently hit the 1000 mile mark on my rebuild and am deciding if its time to change the oil again or not. Every builder and every site says somethign diffferent. I changed it at 100(by accident, dont ask) and 500 so far. So should i do it at 1000, 1500 and 2000 or just 2000?

Also what is the appropriate time to increase revs. i recently have been letting myself slide up to 5k but now i read a few guides that say dont pass 4k till after 2000. Whats right?, whos done what and did their engine blow up? Can I get some solid answers.

well you really can't change your oil too much on a new engine I don't think... so I would say it's better to be safe then sorry.

with the revs, I've heard not to go above 4k before 3000 miles... but that could be a bit extreme.

I generally say, oil and filter change at 1/2 hour and 1K miles. Then normal oil changes after that, but you should ask the shop that did your rebuild. They will have a recommendation based on what they replaced.

and as far as RPM, if there are new housings, you should be using the whole RPM range.

You mean revving to redline? I was told to take it easy on EVERY rebuild. See this is the conflicting stories im talking about. It was rebuild with new housings, and all new seals. I am pretty sure the bearings werent changed. It has a bit over 1100 miles on it right now. So someone with experince (icemark & friends) please let me know what to do. I just want to get the most out of my motor.

with new housings and seals the motor should be well broken in by 1100 miles.
