Engine disassembly problems
Hi,
I picked up a cheap S4 keg a while ago and just got around to tearing it down, first time doing this to a rotary so It's not a huge issue if the engine never runs again. If I can salvage it great, if not I figure it's a good learning experience.
Anyway, my problem with the engine is that somewhere along the way someone decided to rebuild it using loctite.
After using an impact and heat, I had to cut the flywheel bolt off (I tried a 6ft pipe, ended up twisting my engine stand, but the Mazdatrix flywheel stopper didn't break!) and now I can't get the eccentric bolt out.
As I can't cut this out, I'm open to ideas on how to get moving on this again,
Thanks!
Mike

Smells like 2 stroke.
Heat that bolt up really good. Use something strong like another 6' piece of steel to hold the engine with so you don't bend your engine stand. Impacts are overrated IMO.

Got it loose!
On the advice of my father in law (credit where credit is due) I soaked the eccentric bolt in 3 in 1 oil. Let it sit for 2 days and with just a socket and a 2 foot pipe, it came off.
Thanks to all those who replied!
