Exclamation Is the Engine Damaged?

Just earlier today I rear-ended a person ( not smooth, I know) on a busy street. Other than some bent headlight covers and pushed in bumper, i thought the car was fine.No leaks and it drove just as smooth as always with no funny feelings all the way up the RPMs. Well anyway waiting at a light on the way home I notice something very strange with the idel. It was as smooth as always but about every 5 seconds it drops about 100 RPMs and the car vibrates a little. This happens for like a second and then it recovers. Then in 5 seconds it happens again. I checked the engine bay and i dont notice anything obviously wrong but im no mechanic. If you have an idea of what might be happening or have had this problem please help me.

Thanks- Josh

Old joke. Seriously make sure the relays in front nose are still connected and no wiring is stripped.

If the accident just pushed your nose nose & headlight covers in you probably havne't damaged the primary frame, just the body and nose subframes which can be bent / beaten back into shape.

do you a/c? It kinda sounds like your compressor engages and kicks down the rpms a bit, the rpms are supposed to compensate for that but like vaughnc said, you could have broken a relay or solenoid that controls that...

i dunno just an idea
