Engine cuts during hard corering

I have an 86 t2. Ever since I bought it, the engine cuts out (returns to idle) during hard left turns, even with a full tank of gas. I noticed it would do the same thing when it was low on oil. But I keep the oil level were it supposed to be and it still does it. Any help? Anyone?

Some people say replace the fuel pump. I traced my identical problem to the mesh filter that is attached to the bottom of the fuel pump. It was clogged with a clear varnish type material. I put it in laquer thinner overnite and cleaned it out. No problem since. I proved that that was my problem by putting a turbo fuel pump in the car and having no problem. Then putting the original in the car with the clean mesh filter and having no problem since. That should have eliminated other things like the fuel filter, mass air flow meter fuel switch, injector cutout etc. Your problem can very well be something else though. Just wrote what fixed mine.

I hear that like 1/5 second gens have that problem. Mine does, at least. Re-grounding a lot of stuff made it BETTER, but it's still not fixed. I haven't replaced the mesh yet, and I dunno what the condition of it is. Sucks, eh?
