engine for 91 convertible

hi, the motor in my 91 vert is low on compression and is getting harder to start so I am gonna need a motor. Any motor from a 89 - 91 will work right? Or would it be better to buy a reman or rebuild it? Thanks for the help.

Swap in a Turbo motor!

I'm doing an RE swap (when I finally find the time). I'd go for some kind of swap. If you're going back for NA, then just take Banzai's advice and get it rebuilt.

If you just simply have a lot of time on your hands, then rebuild it yourself. Nothing like hearing a motor start up for the first time that you rebuilt yourself!

I have a 91 vert, and I put a Pineapple Racing rebuild in it (www.pineappleracing.com). They have the best warranty and new rotor housings. I'm definitely satisfied. If you wanna go gast, put a TII engine and drivetrain in there though because verts are slow!

Definitely swap it. I wish my motor would blow so I'll have a reason to drop in the turbo.

I'm facing the same decision as my vert's rear rotor no longer has compression. I think I'm going for a TII swap.
