Which Engine?
I have a 1986 Mazda rx7 gxl and I need to know what engines I can put into it. What model and what year? If someone could link me to a website that sells complete engines with transmission that would be great. Or what all I need to consider when swapping an engine, thanks.

all 86-91 engines should fit, transmissions differ between turbo and n/a,

You're much better off finding an '86/'88 n/a engine.
If you go with '89/'91, there's some work involved:
Rotary Resurrection home of the budget rebuild.

i got a bunch of 86 engines i can build, for less than you'd pay for that disaster waiting to happen.

thread moved from BUILD section.
any other year than 86-88 will make your job more tedious with wiring and extra parts specific to the 89-91 that you would have to address.
Most of these questions are asked over and over so it's best to Search a bit and read up on it.
Engine swaps are done everyday..like changing underwear.

if you're looking for something new, it would cost multiples more than a rebuilt engine. mazda doesn't sell the new engines any more and piecing them together is very expensive. that is easily doable though.
if you're looking for a long block, i have most everything except the injectors.
