emissions and power steering in T2

Car is an 88 T2. Can you pass emissions without the air pump? What can I remove out of the engine bay with out effecting emissions or driveability.

Does anyone drive their car with the power steering disabled? How does it feel? is it hard to manuver in parking lots? I'm thinking about taking mine out.

thanks,
Mike

you need the air pump to pass.

I removed my PS belt a few weeks ago and it's still off, it kinda sucks for moving around while parking etc. but I never do so I don't care. (cars are for driving not parking once you are moving it's fine.

just pull the belt off it takes 5 mins and go for a drive and see if you like it.
