Exclamation Eletrical problem door warning light

it seems that every time i connect the ground on my deck, the door warning light will come on, i havent ran my own wire, but could this be related to my interior light switch and every time i flick it on, the door warning light comes on. the lady i bought the car off of, said she might have knocked a wire loose in the I.T./sunroof cluster because the sunroof will not open and the I.T. doesnt seem to work(doorwarning light comes on)

its a 1988 rx7 gxl

i dont want to run my own wire for the deck because then i will have the old wires still in there and it wont be done "properly" and wont look nice. but it doesnt really matter, can anyone tell me whats wrong?

thanks

Sounds like a grounding issue. Did you verify that the wire is truely grounded?

with the multi meter it reads a ground.... seems like every ground in the car is doing this

Interior Light
Origional ground for deck
even ran my own wire straight to ground... and it did it...
tommarow i will run all new wires and start from scratch...
any ideas what could be causing this?

what wire are you using for a ground??? there is no factory wire for the radio ground

Did you use and follow the wires that are listed in the FAQ for FC sticky thread found at the top of this section for wiring up a radio?
